Waiting for the Rain

This collection of work by Phoenix Kanada spans from the spring of 2020 to fall of 2022. When lockdown first occurred, he had a lot more free time than normal; that translated to new & familiar ground to cover, dissect & analyze with his camera in the vast Sacramento Delta & Sutter Buttes areas.

In his book "Waiting for the Rain", he observes the seasons & how they have become less decipherable from one another as the years go by due to the ever-changing weather patterns. This project is a way for Phoenix to preserve the landscape's natural beauty while also serving as a reminder to treat it with more care & tenderness.
