War at Sea

War at Sea” is a visual reflection on humanity’s silent battle against the planet — a war we started and continue to fight without realizing that we are our own enemy. Using discarded plastics, bottles as symbolic materials, I stage each photograph as a battlefield between beauty and destruction, between what once was pure and what now struggles to survive.

The project was inspired by the growing emotional weight I feel toward the state of our environment. The sea, once a symbol of peace and freedom, now mirrors our neglect and greed. I approach this subject not from a documentary perspective, but through fine art storytelling — creating scenes that merge realism and metaphor to reveal the sadness of a wounded Earth.

“War at Sea” also questions how we, as image-makers and viewers, interpret environmental suffering
