This project captures the intimate lives of an Asian queer community through Polaroid photography.
In the summer of 2023, I wandered through London, moving between places with my Polaroid camera. I lived on a boat, slept on park benches, and stayed in an old mansion. Eventually, I found myself living with six Asian queer girls in a small home furnished with scavenged items and a rescued cat, Casper.
For a week, I documented our shared life—caring for Casper, hugging, fighting, arranging flowers, and attending queer parties. These Polaroids tell the story of outsiders finding belonging and creating art in London.
