This sculpture explores willful ignorance as a means to self-gratification, and the consumerist engine that runs on our wanting more. It looks at a system that has made us spectators of our own lives, mistaking the image of fulfilment for fulfilment itself. At a time when information is abundant and the earth is screaming bloody murder, this piece asks what the viewer chooses not to look at in pursuit of comfort and convention, and what that choice costs the living world we all call home.
