My project, Where would we find you if we need to find you?, is a visual inquiry into the tension between homeland and the bureaucracy of migration. I create layered visual essays, juxtaposing vast Mongolian landscapes with the bureaucratic imprints of my identity—passport stamps and visa markings. This process navigates the uncanny experience of returning home only to see it with the eyes of a passerby. The title, from a border patrol officer's question, speaks to the negotiation of visibility and control inherent in migration. Ultimately, the work is an acceptance that home may not be a destination, but a place that continues to meet us, no matter how far we wander.
