Who Raised You – the Internet?

I am a nostalgic person who values, accrues, and applies hindsight to construct a better foresight. Despite blatant differences, I am convinced history is fractal, cyclical, and bound to be repeated due to human nature. I am more so of the belief that there are more similarities than contrasts amongst people. With that in mind, these drawings are freehand ink drawings that reminisce about and explore the nuances of childhood and adolescent activities. They convey mundane situations children of different generations find themselves in. Having been informed with common stereotypes, these drawings prompt us to assume whether the youthful figures depicted belong to the baby boomer generation, generation x, millennial generation, or generation z. My playful drawing approach is meant to underscore timeless childhood sensibilities.
