These works explore the words and phrases people carry with them for reassurance, reflection, and connection. Created at different moments, they are brought together through a shared interest in language as image. Moving across English, Arabic, and a Sanskrit peace mantra, the pieces use bold typography, repetition and forms to give familiar words a new visual presence. Through this work, we are interested in how graphic design can hold something personal or culturally specific while still leaving space for others to find their own meaning within it.
