Yayla is a photographic series produced in a seasonal highland settlement in Muğla, Turkey. The series focuses on how privacy can be felt without the need for enclosure. Everyday life unfolds in openness, without concealment. As the boundaries between inside and outside become uncertain, privacy does not disappear; instead, it disperses into the landscape. To live here is not to withdraw, but to remain exposed. The images point to a form of intimacy sustained without protection, and to an interiority that comes into contact with the outside world.
