Zsofia Schweger is a Hungarian based artist in London, creating inviting compositions for viewers to dwell inside her muted colors and contemplate the nondescript interiors. Informed by her experience moving countries, a reductive paint application allows Schweger to creates a certain sensibility in the work which prompts us to recall long forgotten personal memories. Notions of home, belonging, local identity and the emigrant experience, all inform and help develop Schweger's fresh take on quiet meditation.
