I left art school with a proficiency painting, drawing, and sculpture, but with more of an affinity for the technical crafts like photography, lithography, and digital art. Those practices that require a mastery of technology — along with color, composition, and materials —prior to creating something with meaning.
We can’t escape the pull of technological evolution, whether it’s in our personal lives, our economy, our spiritual or philosophical conversations, our relationships, and the transformation of our own physical selves.
My practice always blends the use of technology as a tool with the execution still resting in hand-made forms. I’m most drawn to the places where analog life and digital technology converge. Finding that crossover place where we exist both as physical and virtual beings.
