Aleksandra Żurawna is a Polish visual artist specializing in analog collage and photography. Her work stems from a protest against excessive consumerism through upcycling and archival materials. Drawing on Dada tradition, she reuses manufactured goods to give respite to the planet.
In her compositions, she tackles difficult, marginalized themes inspired by reports and current news. She translates contemporary informational noise and overstimulation into cohesive images. Using seemingly mismatched fragments, she builds a new reality with bold colors and pop art aesthetics.
