Almudena Zambrana (Spain, 1996) is a documentary photographer based between Australia and Spain. She recently earned her MFA in New Documentary Photography at LABASAD (Barcelona). Her work focuses on contemporary documentary and long-term projects exploring identity, belonging, territory and lived experience.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with a specialization in photography at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples, as well as a degree in Physical Sciences. This hybrid background informs her practice through a combination of visual sensitivity and analytical thinking, with a strong interest in the psychological and social dimensions of everyday life.
