I am a London born half-polish half-Iranian artist currently based in Edinburgh and Zürich. My art practise seeks to trace my biographical heritage, history and investigate my family’s involvement in resistance movements against occupations. Due to their activity in political underground movements, many family members also withdrew from society. I use photography to document and archive the architecture, objects, and stories I encounter which inform my large-scale installations whose aesthetic is inspired by polish modernism and religious kitsch and thematically deals with hermit lifestyles.
