Anna Thorne (American, b. 1994) is an award-winning photographer based in New York City. Working primarily with natural light, her practice explores presence, temporality, and the quiet beauty embedded within everyday experience. From abstractions of light to intimate observations of the world around her, Thorne’s photographs attend to fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed, transforming them into spaces for contemplation. Her focus on light emerged from a Near Death Experience that profoundly altered her understanding of presence and time.
