Careshia Esperanza is a South African illustrator and contemporary artist based in Cape Town. Her creative journey began with detailed black ink drawings on paper, where she honed her love for linework, nuance, and storytelling. Over time, she transitioned to working in colour with acrylic on canvas—now creating expressive paintings that range from small, intimate works to bold, large-scale pieces.

With over a decade in the illustration world, Careshia’s work has appeared in award-winning campaigns and major brand collaborations. Today, her fine art practice draws from that rich visual history—blending emotion, transformation, and feminine power into textured, colour-rich worlds. Balancing the personal with the provocative, she moves between commercial illustration and the contemporary art space with confidence and intention.
