Ceirra is an artist that grew up in Owingsville, Kentucky and is now based in Louisville, Kentucky. She is now the director of Folx Gallery, an online virtual gallery that aims to create community connections through artists big and small. Ceirra is an oil painter with an eye toward erotic art and her experiences of growing up in impoverished eastern Kentucky. Her works are grounded in an answer to how sex belongs in the mainstream, as well as how stories of poverty combat the suppressed metro normativity within society.. Ceirra’s new work uses the process of oil painting and sewing to design the composition and produce narratives behind the apprehension of money.
