Charissa is a freelance Filipina visual storyteller based in Seattle. She graduated with a Master of Communication in Communities and Networks from University of Washington in 2020. Since then, she's been pursuing portraiture and documentary photography. She is passionate about stories around relationships, identity, immigration, and culture because these are areas that she is constantly enamored by and wants to make a difference in. Charissa believes in using photography to provide space and healing to people often ignored or forgotten.
