Karolina Dema (b. 1995) is a visual artist originally from Częstochowa, Poland, now living and working in Brussels, Belgium. A feminist artist from a working-class background, she makes political work through drawing and painting, with portraiture at the heart of her practice. She studied Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton (BA, 2020) and works as part of the art duo Demo Dema with Virgile Demo, exploring collective memory, international relations, and the influence of fashion on political discourse. Her work has been shown in Brussels, Paris, Brighton and Częstochowa, including at Hove Museum, and published in LEAF Magazine and Ensemble Magazine. She also runs The Drawing Sesh, an online drawing school.
