Dimitris Pikros is a London-based painter whose practice investigates how painting can continue to evolve. Since developing his Innovative Painting Manifesto in 2000, he has pursued an ongoing exploration of colour, form and perception, challenging established conventions through the development of fluid, biomorphic forms, complex colour relationships and dynamic spatial movement. Drawing on the possibilities of digital imagery and the changing relationship between image and perception, his paintings explore how visual structures can transform and generate new ways of experiencing the painted surface. His practice remains driven by a commitment to experimentation and the continuous transformation of painting.
