Ece Batur’s practice explores how the self navigates restriction, control, and erasure. Through performance, sound, and installation, she examines censorship, displacement, and gendered oppression. Objects and gestures absorb and resist power, while absence becomes an active force. Rooted in her Turkish background, her work reflects on visibility, endurance, and quiet acts of resistance that challenge systemic erasure and reclaim space for vulnerability and defiance.
