Ellen Mitchell is a photographer based at the New Jersey shore, where she grew up and currently resides. Her photos document the people, places, and dramatic situations she encounters during her daily life, revealing a humorous yet melancholic side of human behavior. Her work has been exhibited in Italy, Atlanta, and Minneapolis, and has been published in The Guardian, Lens Magazine, American Illustration - American Photography (AI-AP), and A Photo Editor. She has received awards from Lensculture, the New York Center for Photographic Art, and Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP).
