Emily Luyk is a full time illustrator, fine artist, & muralist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her detailed pen & acrylic ink drawings depict surreal, fantastical scenes focused on flora & fauna, especially those dwelling in her home state. She began creating art as a young child & has since gone on to earn her B.F.A. from Kendall College of Art & Design, with a focus in illustration & metal working. For most of the year, she travels the country participating in some of the nation's most prestigious fine art fairs including Old Town Art Fair in Chicago & the Country Club Plaza Art Fair in Kansas City, Missouri. Recently, she was awarded Best in Category at Art on the Square in Belleville, Illinois & also won an Award of Merit from the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival in Winter Park, Florida.
