Hasmik Chakhmakhchyan is an Armenian contemporary visual artist based in Yerevan. Her practice develops through distinct bodies of work, each with its own visual language and subject. Her current projects include Gods, Titans & Heroes, Funky People and Mer Soleil. In Gods, Titans & Heroes, she reinterprets figures from Armenian mythology and epic tradition through contemporary painting, moving them beyond historical narrative into archetypal, symbolic and cosmological space.
