I was born in Kazakhstan in 1998 and kept moving from place to place: upbringing in Russia, workin Colombia, and today — I live and work in New York.
I danced from an early age, and I think it became the foundation of my visual practice — the cement everything else grew out of. What stayed with me is the relationship between movement and pose — the search for fragile state of everything around me. And of course, by extend — in myself.
A knee injury ended dancing as I knew it. But being a part of a creative bogema you still have new things to try; I decided to look for other forms. In 2018 I saw the work of Man Ray, and something clicked: I wanted to study the image no longer through the body but through paper, collage and mixed media techniques. I opened my Instagram account around then and started making my first steps.
