Charlotte Rainville is a photographer from Montreal. Her practice explores the grandeur and transience of human existence and its relationship to light. Through photography, Charlotte seeks to make sense of the world around her. She frames her subjects in minimalist compositions to monumentalize them, honouring the people, places, and moments that move her. Drawing from nature, travel, daily rituals, and her relationships, Rainville transforms fragments of lived experience into images that preserve her memories and offer her something enduring from what is otherwise ephemeral.
