Who’s Kumo Shai?

Shamel Ridley, artistically recognized as Kumo Shai, was born in the vibrant borough of Bronx, New York, in the year 1992, and remains rooted in this dynamic locale. As a multidisciplinary artist, Kumo Shai’s focus lies primarily in contemporary photography, specializing in shooting film he is best known for his love for cinema , animation and women and it shows through his storytelling. He imagines new ways to reinterpret whats there, whats not, and what new meanings can be revealed . His work is a visual exploration of the correlation between subject and environment and challenging the contradictions of life in our society.
