Born in 1983 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Daughter of a Dutch father and Guatemalan mother who emigrated to the Netherlands in 1981. Lucia Willems Ramírez has been passionate about photography since her adolescence. After an attempt to complete her photography education at the School of the Arts in Utrecht, she eventually ended up in science. Nevertheless, Lucia is still a passionate photographer. In particular the technique of analogue photography appeals to her. She prefers to photograph with a medium format camera, the Pentacon six TL. Most of her work has the theme Landscape or Architecture. Due to moving into her self-converted Sprinter Van to travel Europe for more than a year, she has bought herself a Sony A6000 digital camera.
