Marci Erspamer is an American painter born in Salt Lake City, Utah and based in Greenville, SC. As a primarily self-taught artist Marci has worked professionally over the last decade showing in both solo and group exhibitions. Erspamer remembers from a very young age being unusually contemplative and in constant wonder about the world around her. Though, throughout her youth she struggled with the meaning of life and felt constrained and unsatisfied in the classroom. It wasn’t until she took an Art class that anything made any sense to her. Marci realized then that the answers she was looking for were found in shape and color. Ultimately, these early experiences laid the foundation for a life long exploration of putting paint on canvas.
