Maria Raskin (b. 1979, Kazakhstan) is a mixed-media artist based between Northern Cyprus and Turkey. Her practice encompasses abstraction, dreamlike botanical paintings, abstract portraits and landscapes, and works inspired by nature and the sea. Across these subjects, she develops a distinctive visual language in which botanical forms, organic textures, tactile materials, and imagination merge into poetic visual worlds. Her signature process combines collage, textile elements, hand-crocheted lace, and handmade marbled papers created through her oil-on-water technique.
