Matej Ilčík is a Slovak illustrator whose work focuses primarily on book and editorial illustration.He loves depicting people (and other creatures) in both possible and, above all, impossible situations, often incorporating elements of slapstick and satire. He enjoys creating multilayered illustrations where multiple stories unfold simultaneously within a single space.Matej draws inspiration from everyday life and from the bizarre situations or conversations he experiences, overhears, or reads about. He works mainly digitally, and his style is characterized by the use of distinct textures and bold linework.
