Everyone has a sense of humor. In a similar way, a sense of art. It’s where we find amusement, connections, and meaning. My work blends the visual language of cartoons, comic books, craft, junk art, graffiti, and collage in a mixed media style that I like to call slop-surrealism - my sloppy take on pop surrealism.
I use cardboard, broken skateboards, thrift art, vintage paper, spray paint cans, old records, and anything else I can get my hands on. The discarded materials either become the characters themselves or serve as the vessels for my playfully macabre misfits caught between humor and horror, failure and optimism, or life and death. Each piece walks the line between funny and unsettling, stitched together from whatever the world throws away. Nothing’s too broken, too weird, or too worthless to become part of the story.
