Zaynab Ghaïs-Mortada is a self-taught artist based in Tiohtiá:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal who works primarily with photographic objects. In her work, she continuously circles around the themes of kinship, memory, materiality and the divine. Her practice involves revisiting, or staying alongside human and more-than-human subjects dear to her heart.
