I’m Mussawer Ahmed, an award-winning industrial designer and artist based in Ontario, Canada, with a background in both architecture and industrial design.

My work is rooted in realism, but I’m interested in more than simply reproducing what a subject looks like. I’m drawn to what a subject can hold: memory, emotion, identity, relationships, time and personal experience. Whether working through drawing, design or spatial thinking, I focus on detail, composition and storytelling.

My background in architecture and design has shaped the way I observe form, structure, light and space, while my art practice allows me to explore the more personal and emotional side of those ideas. I’m interested in creating work that feels visually precise, but also carries meaning beyond the image itself.
