I am Pierre de La Saussay, a Paris-based photographer.

My work returns to what's left behind, what persists: places time has reshaped more than any single event, gestures held longer than expected, encounters where the wait matters more than the strike.

Even in faster, louder settings, I look for the same undercurrent, something steady running beneath the noise.

I work with natural light and restrained composition, letting absence and repetition carry as much weight as the subject itself. Faces recede in favor of hands, posture and light. I aim to photograph with respect, keeping the distance that preserves dignity while still inviting empathy.

Ultimately, my photography is an invitation to slow down. To look without urgency. To consider the world not as something to be captured, but as something to be quietly encountered.
