BORL is a Japanese multidisciplinary artist based in New York. His artist name combines “Boy” and “Girl,” reflecting his belief that gender should not define who we are. Rooted in his experiences as a gay man, his background in dance, and graffiti culture, his work explores identity, freedom, emotions, and self-expression through painting, movement, and found materials.
