Sally Jane Brown is a Morgantown, West Virginia-based multidisciplinary visual artist, curator, and writer whose practice spans figurative body prints, watercolors, and latch-hook fiber art. Grounded in a contemporary feminist lineage, her work explores bodily memory, indexical marks, and maternal spaces. Alongside her studio practice, she serves as the Curator for West Virginia University Libraries, directing university-wide exhibitions and public programming. She is a former member of the College Art Association National Committee on Women in the Arts and founder of the international feminist art platform Les Femmes Folles. Her work and writing investigate the intersection of somatic self-portraiture and historical feminist archives, with recent features in Woman’s Art Journal and Curated by Girls.
