Santiago is a contemporary figurative and portrait painter based out of Boca Raton, FL. Working primarily in oil on canvas, Santiago captures compelling human narratives through a synthesis of classical observational technique and modern, light-filled expressive brushwork. His work explores themes of identity, memory, and presence, informed by both studio portraiture and plein air studies. Santiago honed his craft studying at a classical Atelier in Miami modeled on the traditional Florentine schools, and currently creates out of his personal studio, placing original works with private collectors and gallery spaces.
