Sereen’s artistic practice is rooted in a desire to create beautiful scenes, whether personal, cultural, or imagined, that evoke a sense of wonder and introspection, and the quiet allure of nature. She works primarily in oil, gouache, and ink. Guided more by atmosphere and emotion than by strict conceptual themes, she draws inspiration from the natural world, the rich illustrations of old storybooks, surrealist imagery, and bold, moody colour palettes.
