Shide Fatemi is a Tehran-based visual artist with over twenty years of artistic practice. A self-taught artist who has studied with prominent Iranian masters, she initially focused on painting. Following the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran, her practice shifted toward sculptural and wall installations made from hair. Her works function as metaphorical armor, translating vulnerability into resilience. Fatemi has exhibited widely in national and international venues, including Leila Heller Gallery in Dubai. Her "Soft Armor" works were also featured in an article by the Financial Times in September 2026.
