Susana Martínez Orgaz is a Spanish visual artist based in Madrid. Her practice centres on figurative painting, portraiture, memory and the dialogue between historical imagery and contemporary identity. Working primarily in oil, acrylic and mixed media, she reinterprets classical references through expressive brushwork, colour and psychologically present figures. Her current body of work, Contemporary Muses, brings mythological archetypes into the present, exploring identity, creativity, movement, knowledge and emotion. Her artistic development includes study and studio practice in Florence and plein-air painting. Her work has been exhibited in Madrid, London and Miami and selected by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (AEPE). She has also been featured in art publications including Descubrir el Arte and Revistart.
