Diego Vilela, aka SUPERDAY is a first generation American artist residing in the Bay Area known for his bold and playful portraits. With no formal training, Diego has been able to learn and discover his limitations through his art practice, while not being held back by them; The discovery of what’s possible in real time is a huge motivator for him.

His portrait work often features subjects that appear to have external wounds, mirroring their internal pain. However, these paintings are not stories of defeat, but rather, portraits of people who have learned to accept themselves fully, including their scars.
