I'm a filmmaker and photographer based in Los Angeles. My work looks at intersubjective reality: the stories a community agrees to believe, and what happens to people and places when those stories split or collapse.
My photographs of Estonia record Soviet sites as they were demolished, when two versions of history were still visible in the same landscape. I'm now making a surreal short about a gambling addict pulled inside a slot machine, a private reality with its own rules. I'm drawn to the grungy modern American West, and to street photography, where strangers share a frame without sharing a story.
I work across documentary, narrative and AI filmmaking, and hold an MFA in film from Columbia University.
