Valeriia Polishchuk is a Ukrainian-Canadian director and visual storyteller.
Raised by a single mother in a small town in Ukraine, she understood early on the importance of independence and the power of female voice. Valeriia began her artistic exploration while performing on stage at the local Art Community Center. Later, through traveling the world, she shaped her perspectives and gathered experiences—as an observer, a rebel, and a citizen of the world.
In her art, Valeriia explores the complexity of the human condition and challenges social stereotypes and norms—revealing layers of truth where boldness wins over perfection.
Ultimately, her character development work investigates unconventional personalities and merges metaphorical realms with the realities of today, inviting the viewer to shift their perspective.
