I am Viola Manfrini, a photographer born in Bologna in 2000, currently based in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, where I develop my practice through an ongoing dialogue with the natural landscape.
My work explores the boundaries between reality and imagination, focusing on the relationship between perception, space and the transformation of the landscape. Through the use of filters and visual interventions, I alter and reinterpret natural environments, questioning the ways in which we see and experience the world around us.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in DAMS from the University of Bologna and a Master's degree in Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
