John Sippel aka. vltrr is a multidisciplinary artist based in Detroit with work ranging from mix-media collage, film, murals, and beyond. “It’s like a 1940’s Shlitz ad hangs out with a wood block print and blasts into the future.” John was born and raised in the Finger Lakes of upstate NY where he credits much of his early creative pursuit. In 2012 he moved to Detroit to study Art Direction and was there that he found a home full of resurgence and opportunity. It’s that nostalgic reflection of nature and the effort to rebuild a great American city that inspires much of his current work.
