Our Feedback Club is an experiment we started last year and the concept is simple: Members look at each other’s work and give honest feedback to one another — pointing out things that are working and most importantly things that are not. It can be tricky to take a step back and see your own work from the point of view of someone else and the goal of this club is to provide some outside perspective and constructive criticism in a safe environment.
We’re excited for this special edition of Feedback Club, because we have two established creatives with very discerning eyes, to examine your work and give some notes! This edition is sponsored by Hover, which has allowed us to bring in two of our favs, artist Andrea Wan and photographer Brendan George Ko.
A little bit about our sponsor: The new Top-Level Domain, .ART, was created for the international art, crafts and culture community, and it’s now available through Hover. Share your artwork, write reviews, or simply show your appreciation of arts and culture with this exclusive domain. YourName.ART would be a great URL to use for your personal portfolio, online shop or professional resume. For the whole month of June, .Art is going to be on sale for $9.99 (50% off), so if the support of the art community is key to your success this may be a great time to create a personalized .ART domain. Thank you to Hover for supporting us!
This Feedback Club is open to all of our members, however there are only 40 spots available (20 artists and 20 photographers). So if you want to be part of it, sign up now!
After we’ve compiled all the submissions we’ll send each participant a link to a feedback form to provide feedback for others. You will have until the end of the month to complete the feedback form.
After all the forms are submitted, each member will be sent the feedback that was written specifically for them from the other members of their group and the guest (either Andrea or Brendan). In order to receive your feedback you must provide feedback to everyone else in your small group before the due date.
If you’d like to see a couple examples of feedback, go here (and scroll down).
