If you haven’t already seen Array issue 3, download the eReader version from our shop (it’s Free). Now we’re ready to accept submissions to our 4th issue.

For our regular art and photography spotlights, we’ve always asked for a body of work—multiple images that form a series or a cohesive selection. That’s still the case for our spotlight features. However, we know that this requirement can sometimes be limiting, especially if you don’t yet have a full set of work ready to share.

So, we’re once again opening up Array to single-image submissions! We hope this makes it easier for more people to take part.

Array 4 will showcase a selection of fine artists, illustrators, and photographers making bold, memorable images. Alongside the digital zine, we’ll highlight our favourite submissions in articles on our site and feature them on Instagram. The finished zine will be distributed via our email newsletter to help get your work in front of as many eyeballs as possible.

After the call closes, it will take approximately 2 months to go through the work and start to notify everyone who is selected.

There is no theme, we are simply looking to feature fresh, bold, eye-catching work. You may submit standalone images or images which belong to a series. Photos, paintings, illustrations, anything you’ve got. Feel free to submit multiple times, just remember we always like to see your best work.

If you are unable to afford a membership, we are offering one-time submissions for people who are experiencing financial hardship. Head over here to fill out a request form and let us know about your situation. (Available until September 19th, 2025) Once approved, you will be able to submit 1 image to this open call.
