My name is Geraldo Malaval, and I am an artist, photographer, and director with a passion for innovative storytelling. Five years ago, I embarked on a journey into the art world, finding my inspiration in photography. In 2021, I started the documentation of Abidjan which I called "ABJ" initially as a way to build memories and archives as the rap/artistic scene was booming. It later on shifted to not just documenting those people but rather everyday faces and the mundane aspects of the city as well as different subcultures within that same environment.
