This documentary photography project explores the people, traditions, and cultural identities of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, focusing on the states of Campeche and Yucatán.
Through this ongoing personal project, the series examines the daily lives of diverse communities, from rural families and artisans to Mennonite settlements that have developed a distinctive presence within the region. The photographs document cultural continuity, social change, traditional occupations, religious practices, and the relationship between people and their environment.
Rather than presenting an anthropological study, the project seeks to create a human portrait of a territory where multiple histories and identities coexist, revealing the richness and complexity of contemporary life in southeastern Mexico.
