I consider myself an emerging artist working in watercolour, an expressive technique that has taken up the last three years of my life, marking a very distinctive creative phase that differs from my previous work.
With watercolour, the random and the circumstantial take on greater significance – an aspect I consider very important – as does the singularity (uniqueness) of each piece, since it is practically impossible to paint two identical watercolours.
Through my watercolours, I seek to forge connections – a sort of ‘window’ through which to visualise specific moments, in which ideas and feelings such as freedom, the search for meaning, loneliness, overcoming obstacles, acceptance of one’s experiences and affection are all present to varying degrees.
